Abstract

411,619. Condensers. VOGT, H., 10, Garystrasse, Dahlem, Berlin. March 13, 1933, Nos. 7536 and 7537. Convention dates, April 1, 1932 and Aug. 12, 1932. [Class 38 (ii).] Capacity variation is effected in a condenser by deforming a flexible electrode 1, which is flanged sharply towards a coacting rigid electrode 6, by means of a plane pressure plate 5 so that the middle portion, having at the position of minimum capacity the greatest distance from the rigid electrode, is curved towards that electrode as shown in Fig. 2<c>. A layer of dielectric 4 is interposed and may be chemically formed on the electrode 6. In the example, Fig. 7, double flexible electrodes 26, 27 are used coacting with rigid electrodes 21, 25, one being formed as a container. Pressure is applied by means of a screw 23 and nut 24.
