Abstract
410,458. Photographic cameras provided with telemeters. LEITZ GES., E., Optical Works, Wetzlar, Germany. Aug. 12, 1932, No. 22576. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 29, 1932]. [Class 98 (i).] In a camera fitted with a telemeter to facilitate focusing, the lens carrier A, Fig. 1 &c., is adjustably (e.g. screw) mounted in the mount F and can be clamped (as by a releasable catch) in a definite position therein, the mount F being mechanically coupled to the telemeter, as by its rear edge F<3> which may beaflatoran oblique or curved surface. The mount F is provided with a scale G whereby, after setting the mount by the telemeter, the lens carrier A can be released and correctly adjusted by the scale. The rotation of the lens carrier A in the mount is limited in one direction by a stop H. In this (e.g. infinity) position either a retractable bolt c<1> mounted on an arm A<1> of the carrier A engages a notch F<2> in the flange of the mount F, or a resilient arm J, Fig. 4, on the carrier A has a pin or end K which engages a hole or notch in the flange of the mount F.
