[Class 98 (i)] In a camera for use with interchangeable lenses of different focal lengths and having a member adjustable for focusing, a range-finder whose optical deviating element is carried by a lever pivoted on the camera, is combined with a second lever, pivoted on but movable as a unit with the focusing member and supporting a cam engaged by a pin on the first lever to move the optical deviating element about the pivot of the first lever and a second cam adjustably mounted on the focusing member for varying the inclination of the first cam relative to its direction of movement to correlate range-finder adjustments for different lenses. As shown in Fig. 1, the camera body 11 hasmounted thereon a lens holder (not shown) adapted to receive lenses of different focal lengths and has a focusing member comprising a film holder or back 13. Lenses 17, 18 and prisms 19-23 constitute the usual short home base range-finder of which the optical deviating element is the prism 20, which is mounted on a lever 29, pivoted at 30 and having at its free end 32 a pin 33 held, by a spring 54, in engagement with a straight cam 34 on one arm 35 of a bell-crank lever 38, pivotally mounted at 40 on the top 36 of the focusing member 13. The inclination of the cam is such that, as the member 13 is moved to focus an object, the range-finder element 20 is correspondingly adjusted so that when coincidence is observed through the ocular 24, 25 the object will be in focus in the camera. In order that the inclination of the cam 34 may be pre-set to correspond to the focal length of the lens in use, the arm 39 of the bell-crank lever 38 is turned down at 45 to engage, under the action of a spring 53, with a cam 47 pivoted on the member 13 and , adjustable by a sealed knob 50.
