409,814. Hinges. PERFECTA MOTOR EQUIPMENTS, Ltd., and PINSON, V. H., Dartmouth Street, Birmingham. Nov. 30, 1932, No. 33860. [Class 65 (ii).] A vehicle windscreen a having an upwardly - curved upper edge provided with a projecting rubber beading b is supported by two or more bowed links c, each of which is connected at one end to the screen and at the other end to a fixed part of the vehicle roof, one of the connections being an adjustable screw-connection which permits the position of the upper edge of the screen relative to the roof to be adjusted. In the construction shown, a screw k fixed to the screen frame is engaged by an internally and externally-threaded sleeve h working in a boss g on one of the links c fixedly pivoted at d, an operating knob j being provided on the sleeve. The sleeve may work through a boss at the upper end of the link c and engage a screwed stud pivotally mounted on the roof, the lower end of the link being rigidly secured to the upper member of the screen frame. Alternatively, if only a relatively small adjustment of the upper edge of the screen is required, the screwed sleeve h may be replaced by a nut member which is free to rotate in a boss on the link, but is prevented from moving axially. To allow slight lateral adjustment of the screen, the brackets supporting the pivots d may have elongated holes for the fixing screws.
