407,499. Boot &c. studs. LOTUS, Ltd., 193, Sandon Road, Stafford, and BOSTOCK, N. F., Pitsford House, Pitsford, Northamptonshire. Jan. 12, 1933, No. 1129. [Classes 17 (ii) and 17 (iii).] The sole of a shoe, particularly for golf, is provided round its edge from the ball to the toe, or all round the forepart, with studs which project at an angle to the tread, to prevent slipping when pivoting. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the edge of the sole is bevelled to receive the studs 9, which are either threaded or spiked, while in the form shown in Fig. 3, the flanges 13 of the studs are bevelled so that the heads 15 are offset with respect to the shanks 14.
