[Class 64 (iii).] Apparatus, e.g. for cooling oil by means of water &c., comprises a series of removable concentric tubes a, b connected to headers cl, h<1> having compartments provided with inlet and outlet ports for the liquids. The tubes a are formed with helical ribs which fit the tubes b. The water flows in series through the inner tubes, while the oil passes through the helical passages between the tubes.
