[Class 20 (ii).] A mine prop is formed from a channel-section bar having lateral ribs 1, and provided on each side with extensions 4 in the planes of the flanges to which structural members may be connected. The flanges are preferably perpendicular to the web, the breadth of the web is the same as the depth of the flanges, and the lateral ribs are rounded.
