Abstract

Pressure-welded containers for withstanding relatively high internal and external pressures are made from ingot steel containing 0.1-0.7 per cent of tungsten and 0,01-0,2 per cent of carbon, with or without the addition of small amounts of other metals such as copper, molybdenum, vanadium, chromium, or nickel.
