Convention date, April 16, 1932. [Class 64 (iii).] The annular spaces between concentric tubes 4 forming heating elements are closed at their ends and connected to headers 15, 10 by tubes 8, 9. The elements are inclined and arranged in rows. They decrease in length upwardly in each vertical row. Steam may be circulated through the elements to generate steam from water in the surrounding drum 1, or steam may be desuperheated by water or other cooling medium in the drum.
