Abstract

Silver alloys containing 90 per cent or more of silver, for example standard silver alloys containing 92,5 per cent of silver, contain also up to 1,5 per cent of beryllium. The balance may consist of metals such as copper and nickel normally used in silver alloys. An example consists of 92,5 per cent of silver, 7 per cent of copper and about 0,5 per cent of beryllium. In making the alloys, the beryllium may be added in the form of a copper-beryllium alloy.
