Abstract

A foot-arch support comprises two preformed pieces of non-metallic mouldable sheet material such as leather, celluloid or vulcanite, one of which, comprising the body of the device, is moulded with a convexed region, to support the inner longitudinal arch of the foot, whilst the other is separately moulded to conform with the arch-supporting region of the first piece, and is stitched or cemented to the underside thereof. A covering of textile material may be applied to the underside of the support. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 5602/11 and 207,724, [both in Class 81 (ii), Medical &c. appliances].
