Abstract

394,338. Knitting. BRINTON-CO.,H., 3700, Kensington Avenue, Frankford, Philadelphia, U.S.A. Dec. 21, 1931, No. 35350. Convention date, Aug. 1. [Class 74 (ii).] Yarn 12 is laid in a rib fabric by feeding it to long-butted cylinder needles 14 which are elevated on a cam 18 so that the yarn gets below the latches without forming loops. The whole of the needles knit at the next feed to make a rib fabric. The butts may be all of the same length and be selected for the purpose of receiving the yarn 12 by an inclined patternwheel or by the device described in Specification 267,876, [Class 74 (ii), Knitting &c.].
