[Class 86.] Means for feeding concrete-mixers with water in predetermined quantities comprises a supply tank having a discharge valve and a bellowslike conductor within the tank operated externally and controlling the quantity of water discharged on each operation of the valve ; an auxiliary compartment in the tank supplies flushing water. The tank 11 is divided by a partition 14 into two compartments, the smaller, for flushing water discharging through a valve 18 operated by a hand-wheel 32, while the larger discharges through a valve 17 controlled by a lever 40 at the end of the tank and operating the stem 34 of the valve by linkage 38, 37, 36. Both compartments have charging apertures closed by covers 21, 22 mounted on a member 23 which is first released by a central screw 24 and then swung round its pivot to uncover the apertures. To prevent this swinging movement and keep the apertures closed while either of the compartments is being discharged the valve stem 30 is expended upwards to project into a hole in the member 23, and the member 36 operates a stud which projects into another hole in the member. When either of the valves is open the member 23 is locked against pivotal movement. The amount of water discharged on each operation of the valve 17 is controlled by a collapsable tube 45 the height of the upper end of which can be adjusted by means of an external lever 51 working over a scale 52 and connected to the upper end of the tube by links 47, 48. A spring catch 42 holds the valve operating lever 40 in or out of its operating positions.
