Abstract
393,060. Electric cookers and waterboilers. JARDINE, J., Bickleigh, Brooklands Avenue, Uddingston, and BRITISH NATIONAL ELECTRICS, Ltd., Clyde Crane Works, Mossend, both in Lanarkshire. April 22, 1932, No. 11566. [Class 39 (iii).] Electric heating - apparatus such as cookers, ovens, ranges, drying - chambers and wash-boilers, has heating elements removably located in housings 6 which are integral with the interior wall 7 of the cooker, e.g. by welding, so as to provide a smooth continuous surface and prevent crevices, the housings being completely closed from the interior of the cooker so that they can be inserted horizontally Rectangular housings 6 are welded against the walls 7 or ridges 10 on the walls. Corrugated plates 15 are welded against the cooker walls, or corrugations 12 may be formed in the walls and covered by an external plate 14 to form housings, which may be of circular, oval or triangular cross section and are preferably inserted at the rear.
