[Class 126.] In a cooking - oven with double walls, the marginal portions of an adjacent pair of separately formed, sheet metal, side walls 12, 13 are each provided with a flange formed by a bend, which flanges are arranged face to face with their free edges against one another and with both edges directed towards the outer walls of the oven, and so that the bend 16 of one wall 12 lies opposite the bend 18 of the other wall 13. The flanged parts are provided with one or more rapid additional bends 17, 19, 41, so that a projection in one flange fits snugly into a recess in the adjacent flange. The marginal portion 22 of each sheet metal inner wall as it extends towards the flange portion is curved so that a rounded corner is provided between a pair of adjacent walls. As shown, the bends 16, 18 are rounded and the bends 17, 19 are angular. The upright frame members 23 on each side of the door opening are of U -section, and the front edges of the inner side-walls 12 are outwardly flanged at 24, and each cast metal side wall 10 is arranged to extend into the U-shaped frame member. Clamping fingers 25 engage both the wall 10 and the flange 24, and hold them against the side flange and bottom wall of the U-shaped member respectively. Flanges 31 at the sides of the outer back plate 11 overlap the side walls. Similarly, flanges on the top plate overlap the side and back walls. The inner and outer side walls are formed with ribs 27, 29, 33 which mask the edges of the U-shaped member 23 and of the flanges 31.
