390,919. Compound fabrics. ROWE, W. W., Indian Hill, Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A. Feb. 8. 1932, No. 3739. Convention date, Feb. 12, 1931. [Class 140.] A seam construction used in a bag or in joining together sheet material forming tarpaulins &c. in which a composite material of textile and paper is employed, comprises cementing directly textile material to textile material. Examples of the many constructions disclosed are shown, 1 representing the textile, e.g. burlap, ply, 2 the paper ply, which may be crepe paper, held together by a layer of adhesive 3, preferably bituminous, the textile being cemented to textile by an adhesive 4, preferably non-heat plastic and non-bituminous, e.g. rubber latex.
