Abstract
390,144. Washing gases ; composition fuel. DORION, J. F. A. A. M., 34, Rue Caulaincourt, Paris. June 26, 1931, No. 18544. Convention date, Sept. 19, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Classes 50 and 55 (ii).] Boiler furnace gases, fumes from metallurgical plant, &c. pass through a ventilator 2 supplied with water from a tank 4 into scrubbers 3 in which a fine rain falls. The purified gases are discharged through a chimney 6, mud collecting in a hopper 5 passing to a continuous vacuum filter 7. A thickener 8 may be interposed to remove excess of water which with that from the filter is returned to the tank 4. A slime containing 25-50 per cent of water collects in a tank 13 which feeds a mixer 14 also receiving binding material such as pitch, lime or cement, the mixture then passing to a press 16 making fuel briquettes or eggs.
