Abstract
384,643. Metal pipes ; pipe joints. COMPAGNIE DE COMMERCE ET DE PUBLICITE, 16, Rue Vezelay, Paris. March 3, 1931, No. 6581. Convention date, March 4, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii).] A flexible piping is constituted by a tube a of uniform thickness, the walls of which are provided with grooves b extending partly around the periphery. The cross section of the grooves may be rectangular as shown, or semicircular or other shape, and they may be oblique or helicoidal. A connecting-collar for such a pipe may be constituted by two members c, d, Fig. 4, screwed together so as to clamp the pipe between them, solder being also applied at e. In a modified connection, Fig. 5, the pipe is held between the two parts c, d forced one on the other, solder being applied at e.
