388,237. Straight-tube heatexchangers. HEPWORTH, F., Summerfield, Waterloo Road, South Yardley, Birmingham. April 7, 1932, No. 9924. [Class 64 (iii).] In a heatexchanger having a longitudinally or transversely removable tube element 2 and a partition 7 to cause a return flow of the external fluid over the tubes, fl o w - diverters 11 are arranged to produce a transverse flow of the external fluid in its upward and downward travel. The liquid flows from one compartment to the other through a passage 10 in the partition.
