386,624. Cylinders. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. April 13, 1931, No. 10909. Convention date, May 27, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 7 (ii).] In a two-stroke engine a steel liner 1 is screwed into a finned cylinder head 4, and the ports 5, 6 are then formed before the part 7 comprising the inlet and exhaust passages are assembled. The parts 7 may be united in a plane through the cylinder axis or they may be formed as one circular piece which is expanded and placed on a flange 2 before assembly of the head ; afterwards it is lifted and shrunk into position.
