383,461. Adjusting wireless apparatus. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Dec. 28, 1931, No. 35804. Convention date. Jan. 10. [Class 37.] Knobs, scales, &c. provided outside the casing of a radio receiving apparatus are arranged so that they can be coupled to parts inside the casing, without the internal parts projecting through the walls of the casing. As shown, a knob 1 carries a sleeve 2 which receives the end of the shaft 6 of a condenser, potentiometer, &c. within the casing. Relative rotation is prevented by a pin 9 carried by the sleeve 2 and engaging a slot 10 in the end of the shaft. A pin 4 of hard steel is slipped into a hole in the wall of the sleeve 2 and engages an eccentric groove in a hexagonal nut 3, rotation of which forces the pin 4 against the shaft 6. The rim 11 of the sleeve 2 is flanged over to prevent loss of the nut. Specifications 260,701, [Class 37, Electricity, Measuring &c.], and 355,076 are referred to.
