G., 20, Milton Mansions, Queen's Club Gardens, London. July 9, 1931, No. 19807/31 and 5440/32. [Class 3 (ii).] Optical-projection apparatus.-In vehicles provided with translucent projection screens on one side shaded from external light by a hood, the hood is formed by two hinged doors 3, Fig. 2, provided with shelves 4 on which rests a top board 7 which moves thereon from slides 6 on the vehicle sides 2. A loud-speaker 8 is disposed below the screen. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which a loud-speaker 12 is mounted on each door 10, and top and bottom hinged flaps 17, 20 complete the hood. The speakers 12 are disposed in boxes 11 having hinged outer and inner panels 14, 15 which permit of adjustment of the direction of soundemission. Hinged extensions 16 on the boxes 11 complete the hood sides when opened out, or fold against the panels 15 for storage. The screen is mounted in a frame 19 which rides on rollers &c. to allow the screen to be retracted and room given for the boxes 11 when the doors 10 are closed. The flaps 17, 20 are carried by the frame 19, and have triangular hinged extensions 18, 21 which open out to meet the sides 15, 16.
