Abstract

Homogeneous armour plate is made from steel alloys containing 0,28-0,45 per cent of carbon, 2-4 per cent of chromium, and 0,15-1 per cent of molybdenum, with or without up to 3,3 per cent of nickel, the nickel being lower or wholly omitted in thinner plates. The molybdenum may be partly or wholly replaced by about twice as much tungsten.
