Abstract

378,049. Bevels. KNIGHT, C., 78, Alberton Avenue, Mt. Albert, Auckland, New Zealand..Jan. 29, 1931, No. 2844. Convention date, Jan. 30, 1930. [Class 97 (iii).] A bevel particularly for bisecting angles comprises a blade A having parallel straight edges and a blade B pivoted to the blade A at a distance from the latter's end L equal to its own length, so that the line joining the end L to the end of the blade B always bisects the angle between the blades A, B. The blade A may be provided with a groove C connecting the pivot socket to a further pivot socket at the end L. An additional blade G equal in length to the blade B may be pivoted to the end of the blade B. The ends of the blades may be rounded to enable the instrument to be used as a fence or circular discs D ma,v be attached thereto. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes instruments including further auxiliary blades and embodying spirit levels. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 16592/03, [Class 61, Hand tools &c.], 103,706 and 149,735, [both in Class 97 (iii), Thermometers &c.].
