375,055. Inflating and deflating valves. FAVERI, S. DE, 21, Soho Square, London. June 2, 1931, No. 16104. [Class 135.] An inflating and deflating valve comprises a valve chamber B and a hollow-stem plungei valve with the head A<2> disposed within the chamber, the stem having a central inlet opening A and lateral openings A<1> which communicate with the valve chamber when the valve is pushed inwards against the action of the enclosed spring C. A nut A<3> on the stem serves to limit the inward opening movement and also to close the valve head A<2> down upon a washer B<2>. The valve closure surfaces may be made conical as shown at B<5>.
