Abstract

374,462. Seat adjustments. CHAPMAN, A. W., 115, Howards Lane, Putney, London. March 5, 1931, No. 6940. [Class 52 (ii).] An adjustment device for a slidable seat comprises a seat slide, a floor slide, a pivoted catch lever, and holding means adapted to be slid into position between said lever and seat slide, such action being effected by a connection to a pivoted finger-piece which also serves as the means for actuating said lover for locking and unlocking said seat slide. Such a device is shown in the drawing, comprising a lever 1 pivoted at 4 to the seat slide 11 and having a pawl-like tip 3 to engage holes 13 in the floor slide 14. A finger-piece 5, 2, pivoted at 7 to a pivoted member 6, has a projection 10 which can be slid between the lever 1 and the slide 11, to hold the lever disengaged from the holes 13. A spring 15 may be provided.
