[Class 110 (iii).] In an exhaust gas turbine means are provided to enable the blades to be inspected and the clearances to be measured without dismantling. In the windage protection extension of the nozzle ring 2 surrounding the rotor 1, one or more holes 3 are cut. When a cover 7 is removed the wheel may be inspected through the hole. The cover 7 may carry a plug 9 adapted to close the hole to prevent whistling. An inspection hole 11 may also be provided on the inlet side.
