Abstract
373,374. Stands; trestles. McDERMID, A. K., 102, Duke Street, Glasgow. April 30, 1931, No. 12725. [Class 52 (v).] A folding tripod stand for supporting a barricade bar &c. comprises three or more legs, two or more-of which can be swung about axes parallel to the general longitudinal direction of the erected stand. The legs may be positively locked in the erected position. In the construction shown two legs 5 terminate in vertical pins 5a rotatably mounted in the flanges of a channel member 10 secured to a third leg 6. The lower parts of the pins 5a are square in section and engage square holes in the lower flange of the member 10 when the stand is erected. The pins have sufficient axial movement in the flanges to disengage the square portions to'fold the stand.
