Abstract

369,407. Flexible - unjointed hinges. TYLDESLEY, E., 357, Hulton Lane, Daubhill, and BRISLEE, W. H., 460, Tonge Moor Road, both in Bolton. March 28, 1931, No. 9448. [Class 65 (ii).] The panels of a screen are hinged together by a longitudinal strip of canvas or other material fixed on the centre lines of the edges of the panels, sufficient width of material being left free to allow the panels to fold back. The strip c may be fixed by a separate strip of wood secured in a rebate in the edge a of the panel, as shown in section in Fig. 1, or may have a beaded edge, Fig. 2, being passed down a slit in the edge of the panel.
