367,556. Pipe couplings. FORSYTH, J. C. and FORSYTH, G. C., 72, Promenade, Portobello, Midlothian.. Feb. 14, 1931, No. 4694. [Class 99 (i).] A pipe coupling comprises an internally screwthreaded member 9 adapted to fit loosely over the pipe 6, having an internal coned portion 10 which receives a contractible metal 'split ring 12 internally roughened and assembled in the member 9 so as to prevent relative rotation as by a lug 13 in a slot 14, so that the outer covering of the pipe is cut through as the nut 9 is revolved in the pipe 6 to screw the ring 12 against the end of a barrel, sleeve 7 and socket upon which the nut is screwed.
