363,606. Inductances. B R I T I S H THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Boyajian, A. ; 6, Maplewood Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, U.S.A.) May 19, 1931, No. 14789. Convention date, May 21, 1930. [Class 37.] In reactor and like laminated cores, reluctance caused by imperfect fitting at joints in the magnetic circuit is reduced by providing a layer of magnetic cement 18 between the abutting surfaces. The cement comprises iron powder or filings mixed with Portland cement and water or alcohol. Slots 16 may be formed in the ends of the yokes for engagement by the clamping members used in drawing the yokes tightly down on to the end faces of the limbs.
