Abstract
360,410. Road vehicle signal's. BEPPU, S., 51, Aoyama-minamicho 5-chome, Akasakaku, Tokio. July 24, 1930, No. 22397. [Class 118 (ii).] Manoeuvre signalling arms 10, rotatably mounted about vertical stems 9<1>, Fig. 4, one on each side of the vehicle, are adapted to be simultaneously operated by an arm 11, which, through a toothed wheel 4<1>, a flexible member, here in the form of an endless chain 13, toothed wheels 12, and bevel gearing 16 may rotate the arms either way through 90‹. Alternatively, the operating mechanism may comprise toothed racks 2, 2<1>, Fig. 2, which may be selectively depressed against the action of springs 3, 31 to engage a toothed wheel 4 integral with a bevel wheel driving the endless chain 8 through a further bevel wheel 5 and toothed wheel 6. the chain 8 driving a toothed wheel 7 mounted directly on the stem 9.
