Abstract
359,824. Changing signs. ICKLER, H., 253, Zurlindenstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland. Jan. 21, 1931, No. 2089. Convention date, Jan. 22, 1930. [Class 3 (i).] In an electric signalling system employing a number of drums 34 adapted to be driven, through friction coupling, by an electric motor 31, each drum being provided with a number of different signs, the motor may also be used to cause the display of different advertisements which are on an endless band 39 passing over rollers 37, 38. When a signal is transmitted to cause a sign to be displayed by the drums 34, the motor 31 is caused to rotate for a predetermined period, and as the roller 37 is coupled, through gearing 35, with the motor each signal transmissiom is accompanied by a change in the advertisement displayed.
