[Classes 20 (i) and 20 (ii).] In a modification of the scaffold pole joint according to the parent Specification in which the tubular ends of the poles are connected by a longitudinally divided pin the parts a, b of which are forced apart to grip the tubes by a screw d in a collar c surrounding the pin, means for preventing longitudinal movement of the collar on the pin comprise studs c<3>, c<4> screwed into the pin and loosely engaging slots c<1>, c<2> in the collar. The parts of the pin may be tapered from the centre outwards.
