Abstract
352,363. Drying textile and granular materials ; elevated and rope railways. SOC. ANON. DES ETABLISSEMENTS NEU, 47, Rue Fourier, Lille, France. Nov. 13, 1930, No. 34180. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1929. [Class 34 (ii).] A continuously operating drying apparatus comprises wheeled trays 22 attached by the spindles of one pair of wheels only to endless chains 5 by which they are drawn along an upper track 2 and returned, by pushing, along a lower track 3, entry and exit being at the same end of the chamber 1. The passage of the trays from one track to the other is controlled by hinged tongues 13, 19 (the former being counterweighted at 16) which are operated by the free pair of wheels of the tray. Drying air is circulated by a fan 33 and passes through a heating radiator 34; damp air is exhausted by a fan 35 or flue.
