Abstract

351,738. Amusement apparatus. HAMILTON, W. L., 87, Union Street, Glasgow. June 26, 1930, No. 19428. [Class 132 (i).] An aerial railway of the kind comprising a track suspended between towers down which carriages travel by gravity, consists of a station tower A and a distant tower B between which the aerial track D extends in one or more circuits, each circuit comprising two runs an outward run from the station two and a return run from the distant tower, each run between the towers being in a straight line in plan. The tracks may comprise cables between the towers and curved rails 3, 5, 7 around the towers terminating in a switchback 9. An auxiliary tower C may be provided furnished with the cable supports described in Specification 217,723, [Class 104 (ii), Railway and tramway permanent way &c.]. A lift 10 may be provided to raise the cars E at the station tower.
