[Class 97 (i).] The inner wall of a magnifying eyepiece is inclined at an angle of 45‹ and coated with luminous paint so that the object in the plane 1, 2, to be examined by the lens B is illuminated. An extension F is fitted to serve as a holder for the device, Maps, photographs &c. may by this means be examined in the dark. Protecting glasses are fitted to each end by screwed caps.
