Abstract

<PICT:0347204/III/1> <PICT:0347204/III/2> In a process for the manufacture of a tablet of transparent soap 1 incorporating an advertisement 5, the advertisement is first enveloped in a protective cellulose film and is then placed in a depression which preferably extends to the medial plane of the tablet, after which the depression is filled with molten transparent soap and the whole is consolidated in a press. Fig. 2 shows the tablet 1 held in the mould 2 after a depression 3 has been formed in it by a suitable die and the enveloped advertisement 5 has been inserted. The tablet is next preferably softened by warming, after which molten transparent soap 6, preferably of the same kind as that constituting the tablet, is admitted from a container 7; finally the whole is compressed to form the finished tablet. A number of depression-forming dies, outlets such as 8, and presses are preferably arranged to work together, so that a number of tablets may be formed simultaneously.
