Abstract
344,198. Switchgear structures. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitats-Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) Feb. 20, 1930, No. 5714. Convention date, Feb. 22, 1929. [Class 38 (v).] In draw-out switcbgear of the type in which the sliding member g carries plugs d detachably secured (as by screwing) in one or other of two insulating housings f so as to select one or other of two busbars, the plugs have an insulating rearward extension e which projects beyond the end of the housing. A domed cover h with an inspection window k is secured over the housing in use and a flat cover i over the idle housing so that the particular bus-bar in use can be readily ascertained. Contacts may be engaged by these covers for signalling purposes, and the usual interlocks may be employed. Specification 217,290, [Class 38 (v), Electric switches &c.], is referred to.
