[Class 18.] Strengthening-plates for use on packing-cases or wood or other chests consist of metal strips 1 with broad-based curved prongs 2 struck up from the ends. The prongs may be serrated and the strip may be bent to serve as a corner-piece. Prongs may also be formed at intermediate points. Specification 148,585, [Class 18, Boxes &c.) is referred to.
