R÷ntgen-ray apparatus. - A R÷ntgen tube holder comprises a carrier a which may be fastened to a stand or other support as by a screw b, a member h which rotates upon the carrier about an axis at right angles to the axis of the ray-tube c and may be clamped to the carrier as by a screw g, and a slide d which is carried by the member h and engages in an annular slot e in the wall of the ray-tube c or in an annular member f surrounding the tube. The slide d may have a dovetail or like cross-section, and the member f has a convex surface to prevent sparking across. A second bore i may be provided in the member h so that this member may be placed on the carrier a in an alternative position at right angles to that shown. On the member h is screwed a ring s for clamping the slide to the ray-tube in any adjusted position.
