Abstract
335,591. Plenty-Still Oil Engines, Ltd., and Norris, H. Kent-. April 29, 1929. Cam-and-lever actuated pumps; stroke, varying.-A cam for actuating a fuel pump comprises a cam ring A carried by a shaft B and having a radial slot in which a cam nose A<1> slides under the control of a speed governor G, so that the extent of its rise above the surface of the ring A determines the stroke of the pump. The governor weights G are connected to a sleeve M<1> rotatable on the shaft B and provided with a cam groove M<1x> in sliding engagement with a shoe K engaging the cam nose A<1>. An adjustable stud J bears on the shoe and limits the adjustment of the cam.
