335,439. Chamberlain, R. Nov. 15, 1929. Sleepers, wood.- A U-shape metal clamp is driven into the top of a sleeper and across the grain to prevent splitting. The clamp is made from #" square section metal with splayed legs and chisel-shaped ends.
