Abstract

332,055. Coatalen, L. July 12, 1929. Starting-engines.-In a compressedair motor 15 for starting an internalcombustion engine, when the main air-supply cock 20 is turned on, the compressed air is supplied through a cock 35 to a cylinder 34 in order to move cams 26 into position for actuating the valves 22, 23 of the compressed-air motor. When the engine starts, the clutch 16, 17 is disconnected by the inclined clutch faces and the movement of the over-running member 16 closes the cock 20.
