Abstract

329,853. Arentsen, A. H. May 29, 1929. Pleating.-Relates to a process for making continuous sheets or corrugated plates of asbestos cement with an insertion of wine netting. The finished sheet, before it is quite dry, is passed between pairs of fluted rollers 10, shown in plan in Fig. 2. The rollers 10 are arranged in V- formation, with the angle towards the direction from which the sheet is fed. With this arrangement, two corrugations are rolled into the middle of a continuous sheet and other corrugations are formed successively at the sides of those first formed. The plates may be passed finally between longer rollers 11 to accentuate the shape of the corrugations.
