Abstract
329,179. Percival, H. G. May 27, 1929. Food for poultry.-A machine for making wet mash for feeding poultry &c. comprises a receptacle 10 for the meal &c., the bottom of which is formed by the upwardly travelling conveyer 13 for delivering the meal into a trough 11 containing a helical conveyer, and one or more nozzles 15 for introducing water or like liquid to be mixed with the grain. The amount of grain delivered from the hopper 10 may be controlled by a shutter 23 adjustably fitted over the opening 221 from which the grain is carried to the trough 11 to be thoroughly mixed with water &c. by the helical conveyer. The sprocket wheels 31, 33 are suitably dimensioned to give the required relative speeds of the two conveyers.
