Abstract
328,373. Wilks, J. P. March 2, 1929. Garment hangers. - A garment hanger comprises three main parts, two pivoted arms b, c, Figs. 1 and 5, and a mounting piece or disc a, on which the arms can be rotated from the position shown for serving as a coat hanger to a position in which they are reversed. In this latter position the device serves for hanging skirts and the like, the movements of rotation of the arms being limited by stops f capable of moving in a slot a<1>. The profile of the arms is such as to suit a coat in one position and other garments when reversed. A rack display stand is shown in Fig. 6, with a hat supporting element h. The arms b, c and the disc a may be mounted in the bifurcated ends of the stand g. In a modification the arms may be arranged on either side of a central member forming the upright part of the stand, which central member is slotted to replace the disc. A wing nut may be used to clamp the movable arms in position. The arms may be mounted in a U-shaped bracket pivoted to the upright g and clamped in position by a winged nut and screw. A number of arms may be provided.
