Abstract
327,669. Boris, B., (known as Allen, B.), Lecker, J., Smith, H. H., and Weissenstein, E. May 3, 1929. Divided on 327,023. Optical-projection systems.-Two right-angled prisms 9 are arranged as close as possible to the front of the lens 10 of a kinematograph projector, with their reflecting surfaces forming a rightangle and intersecting on the axis of the lens, to divide and reflect the beam to two other and, preferably, larger prisms 11 having reflecting surfaces parallel to those of the prisms 9, and lens systems with axes substantially parallel to the axis of the projection lens, are arranged in front of the prisms 11; the whole combination produces duplicate projected images which may be superposed on a single screen, or may be focussed upon different members of a composite screen of the type described in Specification 327,023. The lens systems may each comprise a plano-convex lens 12 and a concavo-plano lens 13, and the lenses before one or each of the prisms may be adjustable towards and from one another.
