Roofing-tiles. - Tiles are made with two offset portions 3<a>, 3b, the part 3<b> being perforated for nail holes, while the part 3<a> thickens towards the base and is rebated on the under side at the bottom end as shown at 3f. In the tiles forming the bottom row of a wall or surface the rebate is omitted and the lower portion is not thickened, while in the tiles of the top row the major portion of the surface 3a is omitted. Fig. 7 shows an angle tile for finishing off two tiled surfaces at right angles.
