Abstract

325,338. Buhler, H. W. Dec. 24, 1928. Drawings to Specification. Trimmings.-Three or more uniform soft spun twines, preferably of kraft paper, are braided or woven to form the core or filler for a furniture o or automobile moulding or trimming &c. About half the constituent twines may be twisted in the opposite direction to the remainder to obviate curl in the finished product. The braid &c. may include unbraided or unwoven core strands, which are also of uniform section. The braided &c. product is treated with a flexible cementitious binder such as rubber cement and is then shaped to any desired cross-section by passage through formers.
